Trinquevedel is one of the benchmark Châteaus of the region founded the same
year the AOC was established.

Guillaume Demoulin is the fourth generation of his family to farm the vineyards of Château de Trinquevedel, which was purchased by his family in 1936. When purchased, the property itself was in distress. It wasn’t until 1960 that wine was sold under the Trinquevedel label. Guillaume along with his wife Céline farm 32 hectares of vines situated in the hills of Montagne Noire. This is serious rosé territory where no reds or whites are produced

PALATE:

The colour is like Italian blood orange soda. Expressive nose with notes of little red berries. On the palate, the wine is very balanced and in line with the nose. The palate is full with a long length. Good acidity provides a tense finale. Beautiful complexity, fine, fresh, fruity and elegant.

PLACE:

The Tavel appellation is located in Southern Rhône, northwest of Avignon France. It is the best known region in France for Rosé and is a Rosé-only appellation. The soil is unique with round pebbles baking in the heat of the sun enhancing the lingering fragrance and elegance of the wine. Trinquedel is situated in the hills of Montagne Noire, where their stoney vineyard resemble those of Châteauneuf. With very well established wines in some of the choicest soils of Tavel, the flesh and character always show through.

PERSONALITY:

Wines here are known for their slightly darker colour stemming from longer contact with the grape skins during fermentation. Grapes are picked at optimal ripeness, Cold maceration takes place for 24-48 hours. Direct pressed. Free run and press juice undergo cold settling. Fermentation takes 20 days in cement at a temperature of 17 ̊C bringing aromatic fullnesss. Aging for 6-9 months in stainless steel. Wine does not go through ML.

PAIRING: 

It serves as a bridge between light white wines and robust reds. Excellent with white meats and heavy sauces, it will also play well to lunch fare and appetizers, veg based foods (think salads) and grilled fish. Smoked salmon, Thai shrimp, spicy dishes, Asian influences, sweet and sour sauces. Strong enough to hold up to food prepared with garlic, cheeses and burgers!
